Shin Kinoshita was born in Toyooka city, Hyogo prefecture in 1977.

Hyogo prefecture is adjacent to Kobe and Osaka which sounds like an urban area, but his hometown is a really countryside in the northern part of Hyogo. When he was a child, there was a quiet rural landscape where his grandfather used to take a walk with a cow.

In his middle and high school days, he was enthusiastic about playing basketball. But he seemed to have a desire to get involved in art-related work in the future.  It might be because his mother's side were artists.
